With new construction in full bloom atop the corner of 38th Street and Broadway, Astorians will be glad to see a space that always held considerable promise finally come to fruition. While it may pain others to know another café is on the way, progress is slow, people. Let’s just rejoice that it’s not another painful dollar store addition to complete the Broadway trifecta of ugly, cheap and useless. No word yet on Pomme Café’s cuisine but you can bet it’s a mixture of Greek, Middle Eastern and Greek.

To the person who is predicting about the"Pomme Cafe" take it easy and get a job, first this is not a middle eastern or greeck! wait before you run to ur keyboard! what make u think that this is a M,Eastern OR Greeck? Easy man!
Clearly, Knife and Fork was joking, judging by the fact that it was described "Greek, Middle Eastern or Greek". And, in fact, that's probably not too far from the truth.
actually it will feature all French cuisine
I actually passed by and notice a nice crowd inside just recently. I couldn't help myself and sat at the bar and enjoy a nice chimay draft and few appetizers. I really enjoyed it =)
The chef is Greek, but he worked in France and at Daniel Restaurant here in NYC before he developed his French menu for Pomme. I went last weekend, and the rabbit stew rocked.
I have been now twice. Once for lunch and another for Valentines Day dinner. Both times were great. The food and the service were great!
